Saraki felicitates Emir of Ilorin on 30th anniversary of ascension to throne

Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the 30th anniversary of his ascension to the throne.

In a statement shared on his social media page on Monday, Saraki described the Emir as a revered leader whose reign has been marked by peace, wisdom, and unity within the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

“Today, as he marks 30 years on the throne of his forebears, my family and I join the Ilorin Emirate and the entire Kwara State to extend our warmest congratulations to our royal father, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari,” Saraki wrote.

He praised the monarch’s leadership qualities, saying: “With the mind of an eminent jurist, the heart of a father, and a deep reverence for tradition, Mai Martaba has, over these three decades, been a constant and reassuring presence. Under his leadership, the Ilorin Emirate has remained a bastion of harmony and a welcoming home for all Nigerians.”

The former Senate President prayed for the Emir’s continued good health and a long, impactful reign, noting that his contributions to peace and development in Kwara State have been invaluable.
